Replacing an entire arch of upper or lower teeth with All-on-4 dental implants offers a range of benefits to your smile and quality of life. All-on-4 dental implants may be ideal if you are missing all or most of your teeth in one or both arches or have severely damaged teeth that require extraction. You may also be a candidate for this implant option if you wish to eliminate the use of a removable denture in favor of a more permanent solution. All-on-4 may also work for your smile even if you have suffered bone loss in the jaw, a feature not always possible with other implant solutions. A number of Sugar Land, TX patients select All-on-4 implants to replace their teeth over removable options since their new set of teeth attach securely to their implants and do not require adhesive to stay in place.
One of the most exciting features of All-on-4 dental implants is the immediate results they deliver. In most cases, dental implants can be placed and a temporary appliance attached during the same visit, making All-on-4 dental implants a single-day procedure. The All-on-4 treatment concept carries a 98 percent success rate and may be ideal for a wide range of patients. "Today i had to undergo an emergency filling, root canal and crown all in one. I was extremely nervous, especially after having been in excruciating pain since Friday night and not having the honest idea why... On top having to go to a different location because my usual location closest to me was not open today. Dr Joe and Derek worked together as a team to get the job done with my comfort and care remaining at the forefront. Dr Joe is very gentle, experienced and knowledgeable. I had very little pain, hardly at all, during the procedures, and very manageable soreness after. I am so grateful they were there and that they took the time to meet my needs in a very short time frame on an emergency basis. May God bless you both!! Thank you again, and job well done today!!!!Thank you, Made Ya Smile, for accommodating me so quickly in my time of need!"- H.J. / Google / Aug 13, 2019
What to Expect
During your All-on-4 consultation, our team will take advanced 3D cone beam images of your jaw, face, and mouth. Using these highly detailed scans, our dentists will map out the best locations for your dental implants. We take into consideration the amount of bone in the jaw and plan to angle your four implants to make the best use of your jawbone for implant support. When you are ready to begin your implant procedure, we will use a local anesthetic to numb your jaw. Sedation dentistry solutions can also be administered to help keep you comfortable throughout your visit.
Our Made Ya Smile Dental team will then surgically position your All-on-4 implants in your jaw and then attach a temporary full-arch tooth replacement for you to wear while your mouth heals and your implants fuse with the jawbone. Even though these teeth are temporary, they will be ready for immediate use when eating and will provide a natural appearance for your smile. Over the next 3 – 6 months, your implants will integrate with your jaw (osseointegration). Once this process is complete, we will have you visit our office once again so that we can remove your temporary appliance and complete your procedure by custom-making and attaching your final and permanent set of beautiful teeth to your All-on-4 dental implants.
The process of receiving All-on-4 dental implants is really minimally invasive. After your implant surgery, you may experience minor discomfort or swelling around your implant sites, but this should resolve after a few days. Our dentists may prescribe pain medication or recommend nonprescription pain relievers to ensure your comfort as your implant sites heal. To help you heal as quickly as possible, our team will give you instructions on how to clean your new teeth and maintain your oral health. Dental implants are cleaned and cared for daily just like real teeth with proper brushing and flossing techniques. Keeping routine maintenance cleanings at our Sugar Land, TX practice can also help you maintain your tooth replacements and give our team the chance to monitor your gums, jaw, and dental implants over the years.
Depending on your dental insurance plan, a portion of your All-on-4 dental implant procedure may be covered. Our knowledgeable administrative team will contact your provider before we begin your treatment to learn about your coverage and calculate any personal expenses. Replacing missing teeth can dramatically enhance your quality of living and our team at Made Ya Smile Dental wants to help you enjoy the benefits this implant treatment has to offer. To make your care easier to afford, we take several easy payment methods and can give you information on low- or no-interest financing options through CareCredit®.
